Ken and Wendy Kappers make up the Kappers Real Estate Team. Both are originally from the Great Lake States, Ohio and Michigan respectively. Due to the combined 67 year career with General Motors, we’ve experienced moving ourselves and our families ten times interstate and another handful locally. We have empathy for anyone in the process of relocation and have the experience to assist you in ways that other Realtors® may not.
Both of us graduated college with Bachelor Degrees. Ken’s degree is in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute of Technology (Kettering University) and Wendy’s is in Business Administration/Statistics from Western Michigan University. We both became employed by General Motors with extensive time served in Quality Control, both plant and headquarters organizations. While assigned at the Oklahoma City Assembly Plant as the Quality Manager, Ken was responsible for 350 employees in all aspects of Quality Control. During his tenure, the plant successfully launched the all new Chevrolet Malibu, Motor Trend Car of the Year. While working at GM’s Manufacturing Headquarters, Wendy managed the activities for international ISO certification (quality system management) for all vehicle assembly and fabrication plants in US and Canada.
The bottom line of our education and career experience is that our background is all based on quality performance. Now that our careers are in Real Estate, we have kept our goal the same…quality performance.
Over a period of thirteen years, we have owned three properties here in Edmond. Our favorite golf course is Kickingbird. Our favorite quick dinner is Interurban. Our favorite barbeque is County Line. Our favorite college is UCO (3 of our 5 children attended UCO and one is about to graduate from there). Our favorite place to sell real estate is Edmond.
